Latest News

There will be a week-long Guhyasamaja Retreat at the Land of Joy Retreat Centre in Greenhaugh, Northumberland, UK, from 14th to 22nd December 2018. Each day will include group practice, study of the sadhana (including the three concentrations), question and answer sessions and an opportunity for discussion. We are very fortunate that this year, the retreat will be led by Jake Fisher from Nalanda Monastery.

Jake studied the ‘Foundation of Buddhist Thought’ program in London for 2 years. From 2008 to 2013 he was in Italy at Lama Tsongkhapa Institute where he completed the FPMT Masters Program in Buddhist philosophy and practice. Jake then went to California where he started a long retreat at the ‘Land of Calm Abiding’ centre. During that time Lama Zopa Rinpoche requested he become a Teaching Assistant for the Masters Program at Nalanda Monastery, France. Jake ended his retreat after two years and has been involved in the Masters Program in Nalanda since 2016.

Following the 2006 Guhyasamaja Retreat held at Jamyang Buddhist Centre in London, we have put together a brief guide on how to hold your own Guhyasamaja Retreat, based on guidance from H.H. Dalai Lama.  You  can find it in the Teachings section of the Initiates area.

Guhyasamaja Tantra

The practice of Guhyasamaja is of particular significance to the Gelugpa school of Tibetan Buddhism, and also to the Lineage of the Dalai Lamas. It's propagation and practice with correct intention is seen as instrumental to the continued flourishing of Buddhism, the Gelugpa school and the His Holiness the Dalai Lama, whose main aim is to be of as much benefit to as many sentient beings as possible.
